This is with the official v1.25.03 release? Have you tried contacting Matrix tech support? There must be some odd configuration or setting involved. It would be nice to know what exactly the problem is and how to fix it. Sorry about that.

Yes, official v1.25.03.
I tried the uninstall original, actually v1.06.xx; restart; install original v1.00, restart, install v1.25.03, install 1.25.03 hot-fix, install v1.26.02 hot-fix; menu buttons still missing. I have specified XP sp2, admin; I have verified that the Quixley Let font is installed.
I also tried installing in safe mode.
I have 4k monitors; I have tried every resolution variant available to the monitor. The PC has three monitors; I disabled two of them before attempting the above install procedure.
Just for clarification, the menu buttons do appear with the original version running.

OK, I think I see the problem. Do NOT reinstall the original v1.06. If you go to your EIA downloads on My Page, you'll find the remastered comprehensive installer for v1.23.08. Do a clean installation of that, then update to the latest official release v1.25.03, and then the v1.26.01 beta. That should work.

That remastered installer a few years ago fixed a lot of the old installation issues. It's a lot smoother now. Try that!

Thanks for the response;
I actually reinstalled from v1.00, not v1.06. 1.06 was the version that was currently installed on the computer that I un-installed.

EiA does not show up on My Page (several others are missing as well). After Sliverine purchased Matrix they created a universal login system. Previously, I had one for the Website, one for the forum and one for beta testing. So I am assuming that it is out there under one of the other sign-ins which I no longer remember or have recorded any where.

ON the EiA game page it shows v1.23.08 and I had tried to download it a week or so back, but it is in black lettres (as opposed to white lettres for the other downloads) and does not respond when clicked upon.

I appreciate your help but I have contacted Tech Support. I shall update you when I receive a response.
