Broken AI with alternative spaced stars or colonies?

Post by LoBlo »

Two questions:

1. Has anyone else had problems with a crippled AI whenever alterations in either 'maximal colony distance' is reduced, or a large galaxy is chosen to make stars more sparsely space? I don't see any of the computer races expanding much at all and most are left in the dust compared to games in which these settings are left on default.

2. If you have discovered the same thing... have you found a workable solution?

You can use game editor and play as this faction for a while and ckeck if you can expand by the set rules.

If you're consistently seeing the AI empire not working on particular map types, we'd like to know that. Please upload a save showing this to help us figure out what's going on.
