Can I get any more jabos?

I probably know the answer to this one, but ask in case anyone has found a different method.

I kind of like my 190Gs, not very hard hitting but love the endurance for a single engine fighter. Can provide great flexibility in some of those areas that don't have much coverage, and don't seem to take as much punishment as the Me410s. But on changing aircraft, I don't get the option to select this model as an upgrade (I have about 80 in the pool). Presumably this is either never possible outside the original groups, or I need 500 in the pool - which isn't going to happen, I still have two assemblies but that just keeps up with losses.

One other question though. Before I discovered my appreciation of 190Gs, I switched one of the 190F groups to something else. Is there some kind of "flag" that tells the game that only certain groups can be Jabos, and those groups retain this flag? If so I'll find out which one it was and switch it back.

Would still like to know if I can create more jabo groups if I have 500 in the pool (or by some other method).

Hi.
I think the units allowed to have those ground attack aircraft are limited. Generally a SG definition (schlachtgeschwader) shows which units can have these aircraft. limited to the 190 F&G models and I'm not sure if you change them to standard fighters if you can put them back to ground attack.

Interesting. Not that getting 500 Fw190Gs into a pool is a viable option anyway (and if it was possible it would have all sorts of consequences for other aircraft production). However I'm still wondering if there's any viable alternative to the Me410 which I've lost a huge number of and are not as effective as I would have hoped.... and the 190G probably wasn't it anyway. From playing 12 O'Clock High - a very long time ago, so memory may not be accurate - I thought the 410s did far better. Though the USAAF were far more aggressive earlier on back then than they have been in this game, so I may not be comparing like situations. Plus of course these heavy fighters use up a lot of extra engines!

Incidentally I've started a new game. We all have our way of playing, and I knew I would never have the time to finish it. Nevertheless I'm actually enjoying putting the knowledge I gained previously to use. This means it will be easier to find which group I changed over in the other game, and I will quickly load up the last day of the old game and see if I can change it back (I had more than enough 190Gs in the pool for one group, but nowhere near 500). I'll let you know if you can, not that anyone else will probably ever want to do such a thing!

Will also know if I get any odd behaviour like single heavy bomber groups going on tours of Germany for no particular reason and keep the save file!
