Looking for a US Player in 1941 Campaign

Post by MattFL »

Pacific 41 scenario - I'd prefer to play Japanese.

I flip a LOT of turns, so looking for an active player.

I'm not 100% burned in on every nuance, but have played maybe 20-30 hours so far against AI and another multiplayer opponent.

Any takers, just let me know.

Thanks,

Matt

Ok, sounds good. Quick question - is there a reason you want to play small fleet?

I'm told it creates more historical naval activity.

Yeah, i started playing with small fleet as well, but lately have been playing without small fleet. While it's probably not realistic to stick 6 carrier groups plus destroyers, BB, etc into a single fleet, at least it gives you the opportunity to play the advantage for that side while it has an advantage. I mean by this early in the game for example the Japanese might put 4 carriers and 2 BB for example into a fleet under small fleet but the US can match that with 4 carriers and 2 BB as well despite the fact that the Japanese have way more carriers. Yes, i know, you can use multiple fleets. But i'd rather attack with 8 carriers and 4 BB against a smaller US carrier fleet than be limited to two equal fights. The reverse comes true later in the War for the US/UK.

In any case, if you prefer small fleet, that's fine. But there is no longer a challenge up......

Agree, that's why I am thinking a limit of 9 ships per group for small fleet scenario should be better.
