1.12.07 hotfix exe now available

We've fixed a bug that had been created in the last public beta version of WitE. This bug created an opportunity for some cheating, so we've changed the save files so once you've saved with this version, you can't go back and load the save using an earlier version of the game. So even more than usual, it is essential that players use the same version when playing a 2 player game. This is only the Matrix version, but assuming it continues to check out ok, we will make it available for Steam and GOG users in the near future. Download the .zip file and unzip it directly to the main game folder to replace your existing War in the East .exe file. You may want to rename your existing .exe file first so you have it in case you want to go back (especially if you have 2 player games going against players that won't immediately upgrade to 1.12.07). The change in this version is listed below.

It's been several years since the last WitE public beta was made available. We are interested in hearing what players think about the last round of beta changes, and whether, now that this fuel bug has been fixed, the beta version should be made official. Please post your comments here. Thanks.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All save game and scenario files created with this or later versions may only be loaded with this or a later version. Versions prior to 1.12.07 may not load these newer save game or scenario files. Old saves and scenarios may be loaded with this and newer versions.
Bug fixes
1. Fixed a bug where moving a unit lacking enough fuel to to move, but having the MP to do so, would result in almost fully refueling it.
