How do I assign ground units to a base? RTB

Post by Kennetho »

Hello,

Probably someone already asked and answered this before. :?
I did try and search both in the forums, steam and even ChatGPT before typing here though. :)

In a scen I’m building I want to assign ground units to a base. Or to be more precise, after ground units have launched their weapons I would like them to RTB so there are not just static targets.

In “mission editor” there is a home base tap. However, the “bases” I find here are ships???
Can you create home bases from here?

Your help is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I don't think ground units have home bases like ships and airplanes. The static targets thing is pretty much what they are.

There are however ways to make them run and hide. What kind of units are these and what are you trying to accomplish?

Ground units do not have a home base. They can rearm and refuel if you have the logistics units to do so.

They definitely are more than "targets" in the sim if done right, as they are capable of fighting pitched battles against other ground units, as well as firing on air of naval units.

You can fly reloads in by helicopter...there are also fuel trucks and ammunition trucks that can rearm them.
