6.1 Bugs-Everybody else getting these?

6.1 Bugs-Everybody else getting these?

I know i've seen a couple of these posted.... but I thought the 6.1 patch fixed a lot of the online problems. Maybe some of these aren't bugs.... maybe they are "features' and I've been lax in keeping up with the forum.

1944 US vs Germany.... Amphibious battle
Units are firing at a range of 999 hexes??

The combat results are not always showing... I see his tank pull up next to me.... the screen pauses for a second... and then my unit is gone!! Poof.... no message no nothing.... just gone. And it happened a few times. to both sides.

And I don't know if this is a glitch... because it's been around for a while.... But why is it when I open fire on his units... during my turn.... he gets to return fire.... but at a different unit? One that's not even near the firing unit? hmmmmm

Sniper taking out a tank with a close assault?

OK..... be gentle.... because I know I missing something obvious.

From 4.5 version biggest update has been (not biggest ? ok IMHO ) Online -section. There has been bugs that have been crushed. Now online works better than ever in Turn based strategy game. Yes, I've played both versions online.

1:All units are firing target at 999.99 if they do remember the bush from where Óp-fire did came from. Click 'N'-key to find what bush it was and shoot at it. (Fog of War?)

2:It can be that your MSG-delay is too short, try to adjust it. Or then it is part of 'animation not found' -errors; - born with the SP -engine.

3:When you get fired up and hit the mud, do you wish that someone sees your situation and gives you some help ?

I've only played one scenario in 6.1 so I can't say for certain if these are bugs, but I'll still post this.

In the scenario No Easy Place I had a German infantry squad that could still "see" a Soviet squad that had been destroyed and would fire at it. No other units with a line-of-sight to that hex could "see" it. The graphic for the squad was not on the map.

Another strange thing I saw: I had a German AC get a special op-fire\point blank fire at a unit 3 hexes away. Strange.

Also some inconsistent results which I attribute to the vagaries of war, not buggy code. A sniper who one turn can kill 4 men with one shot from 12 hexes, and then next turn can miss a whole squad 4 hexes away. Not a bug, I'm sure, but it still makes you wonder. But this is not a complaint. If it were otherwise then the game would be so boringly predictable it wouldn't be worth playing. I'll have to do more playing, but so far I like this version.

Thank your for your input gentleman. And I would also like to add..... I love the 6.1 patch and am perfectly willing to wait out a few minor bugs.

I'm especially happy to see the Machine Gun get the respect it deserves.... it adds a whole new level to the game. IF an infantry unit is moving in the open..... they SHOULD lose 5 men to a MG burst.

But the graphic glitches are more of an annoyance when playing online. Especially when in a heated match against a talented opponent.

The unit that dissapeared in my game was my Headquarters unit..... and my game was lost from that point on. And it was a VERY close game up until that point.

ahhhh well.... the fortunes of war I guess....
