Event editor can't detect mine

Event editor can't detect mine

Hi,

no matter what i try I can't set up a trigger to detect if mine are present in an area. I create this simple scenario to demonstrate.

Are developer looking at this forum? I know they say to be patient but I been waiting to keep working on my scenario for a month now.

I'm not sure I understand what the issue is. What exactly should happen with this trigger you've set up? All I see is a mine layer laying mines belonging to my side so I'm not sure how a trigger would detect them again. Have you tried adding another side and doing it from their perspective when they detect them?

The trigger is set to fire when mine are present in the area. The side don't have to detect them.

Seems to be an issue with mines, since they are not weapon object

This is going to be investigated, thank you and apologies for the delay

Hi Blu3, while you are investigating mines, there are a couple other issues with them:

1. Allied factions cannot see mines detected by other allies. Is this WAD?
2. The ‘remove mines’ function isn’t working currently in event editor mode, whether by LUA or through the drop down menu.

I guess I don’t have to attach a file for the above? It should be easily replicable in any scenario.

Confirmed. As Blu3 said, the problem is that the trigger is geared toward "active unit" objects, and the drifting mine is not such an object.

We'll take a look to see if it's possible to expand the trigger coverage to such types.
