Hey, does Slitherine/Matrix "use psychological mechanisms, behavioral psychology, and neuroscience to encourage repeated play and increased spending among users, especially among vulnerable populations like minors"?

I don't think Slitherine/Matrix has too much to worry about as their games usually require an attention span greater than that of a gnat. Not something you're likely to find in most screen-addled nine-year-olds.Freyr Oakenshield wrote: Fri Mar 29, 2024 2:19 pm Hey, does Slitherine/Matrix "use psychological mechanisms, behavioral psychology, and neuroscience to encourage repeated play and increased spending among users, especially among vulnerable populations like minors"?![]()

Happy Spamster kids. Crazy tasty! I feel bad for the moderator who has to clean up after this traditional healer spell-fest.RangerJoe wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 7:35 pm Too sad but true. SPAM for Easter morning. Too bad that there is no year round hunting for SPAMMERS with no limits either.
Too bad there are no moderators available during this weekend, even though it is Easter.Platoonist wrote: Sun Mar 31, 2024 8:00 pmHappy Spamster kids. Crazy tasty! *** Do not post vailed insults about the younger generation of gamers. ***"I don't think Slitherine/Matrix has too much to worry about as their games usually require an attention span greater than that of a gnat. Not something you're likely to find in most screen-addled nine-year-olds."

"My son, who is 9 years old, can't stop playing War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition. I have no idea what it means, but I've heard him mutter 'this time, the KB goes down to Davy Jones's locker.' I can't get him a way from the PC. When I call him to bed, he'll say, 'Not now, dad, I've got this task force of Fletchers led by Burke off Rabaul that's gonna finally stick it to the IJN. I'm watching the turn now.' That or 'Leave me alone, I'm in the middle of tweaking my pilot training and setting search arcs.' My kid has dark circles under his eyes. I blame Matrix!"
Did you read article about the lawsuit?ElvisJJonesRambo wrote: Mon Apr 01, 2024 3:11 am*** Do not post vailed insults about the younger generation of gamers. ***"I don't think Slitherine/Matrix has too much to worry about as their games usually require an attention span greater than that of a gnat. Yes, sir, I did read the article. I could comment on it, if that's allowed. Court implies law, which means taking a side. Law involves opinions and politics; which is a type of beliefs. Since someone constantly reports my posts, I will walk on eggshells by posting opinion from both points of view.
Well, I don't want to live in a society where everything is rigidly controlled since everything can be dangerous. There is also personal responsibility and parental responsibility. Who would let their 9 year old play these games with access to real money to spend on them? Especially to such a huge extent?ElvisJJonesRambo wrote: Mon Apr 01, 2024 9:15 pmYes, sir, I did read the article. I could comment on it, if that's allowed. In favor of the lawsuit (Plaintiff): If any product destroys lives, the said product should be monitored and possibly banned, or least restricted. The current Tech Era has unearthed new ground for law & responsibility. If a software product is destroying lives, it's dangerous. No different than Tic-Tok, Meta, YouTube, X, etc. Cigarettes, Alcohol, certain Drugs are unlawful or restricted. Thus, if any gaming company creates an unhealthy situation with their products, the government (who writes & enforces their laws) should intervene.
In favor of the (Defendant): This is a frivolous pile of crap. Lawyers want to rob a US Capitalist company which created a product that people wanna buy. If you don't like for safety reasons, don't buy it.
Far as mentioning the "Not to make comments about young gamers", I just quoted what an Administrated stated to me, which I didn't do.
