Alternate Dominant Power Morale

Hi,

On the latest version as Turkey. While making hay in the Med the Russians DoW'd me. First land battle and it doesn't look like I received the 0.5 morale boost for being in the dominant zone. This was why I lost the battle of course :) . Apologies if I've misunderstood the criteria. Saves below.

Generally though, enjoying the AI countries being much more active.

Thanks, I'll take a look. May be a good test case to verify the morale changes I coded but didn't get a chance to playtest thoroughly.

Alright, good catch! I needed to fix a couple of things to get this to work as intended. Since the Alternate Dominant Status is checked during economic phase, I advanced your save to verify human Turkey got checked and all other AI powers got checked. The +0.5 morale bonus is now applied, with I Janissary morale increased from 3.00 to 3.50. This change will be in the next hotfix. I'll see what else gets reported this week and how far I get on a couple of other backburner issues and get a hotfix out later this week or early next week.

I spent some time today revising the Current Nation and Selected Nation displays to show some indication of Alternate Dominant Powers status, with either a +/- 0.50 or +/- 1.00 for the morale effects, if the option is enabled; otherwise these won't show at all. France and Britain would get the negatives, while the others would get positives. This way players can see what the status is. I already have game log messages for gaining and losing Dominant Power status, but there wasn't anything gaining or losing Dominant Zone status with reduced effects. We'll see how these do. Now that they're implemented, I can edit them later if players want something a little different.
