No response to any keyboard or mouse input

Dear friends:

I recently bought this game and everything should be normal. I find that I can't use Esc to skip the opening credit video, and once I wait 4 mins to get into main menu, the game won't respond at all to my mouse click. I re-install the game on steam and try to use high DPI setting but it won't work at all. Be super grateful if I can get some help. Thank you so much!

Have you tried renaming the game’s dat/video folder to novideo, and renaming the dat/sound folder to nosound? This could help determine if it’s a sound and/or video issue. Are you using a non-standard keyboard of some kind? If you can attach a dxdiag report for your computer, that might provide a clue for someone to help figure out what might be causing the problem.
