[RESOLVED] GPU displayed in game doesn't match GPU in use.

Post by Mhealy102 »

Hi. I recently installed CMO on a new laptop and noticed that instead of showing my premium GPU on the header in game, it's showing the onboard Intel driver. My desktop, RTX4090, lists that as the GPU when I run CMO on it. My previous laptop had a GTX 2070 and also showed that on the screen. I've got a RTX 4070 on my current laptop and it isn't showing as being used. My first question is whether or not it even matters? My second question is, if it does, how do I fix it?

If its Win11, you have to set CMO to use the nVidia through Windows Graphics settings. If its Win10, you use the nVidia control panel.

Win11

PS...it can matter.

MS's change forcing people to use their GPU settings over the better known nVidia control panel was sort of stealthy and is still not well known by the average user.
