New Player Questions

Post by aku_djinn »

Hello friends,

Thanks for the help with this sim. Is there a way to eject or otherwise escape once your Titan has fallen down? I played this game where my Titan was down and lost a leg and couldn't get up (lol) but the game won't end unless the Titan is destroyed or you eject. What am I missing here? If you leave battle it's not like you surrendered or anything, it doesn't continue the game, it just leaves the game like it never happened.

Also, I am getting a hang of the turn sequence but is there a way to streamline orders so you don't have to click each Titan's command menu 10x every action?

One last thing, why is it only some of the stats for my pilots can be advanced? There are skills and attributes you can improve but others you cannot add points. I don't understand.

Liking the game (sim) not the curve, but hanging in there.

There is an eject button, in the attack mode menu. 4th button from the left. Notice that there may be specific situations where a jock cannot eject, like when jumping, or when immersed and facing up, or in lava or acid.

There are shortcut keys, listed in F1 and the manual, and in the bottom panel when you hover the mouse over the buttons.
And there's automove, that let's you give a destination point where to move without interruption. it's explained in the manual, move mode section. Page 36 of the pdf version. 34 of the paper version.

You can only add points to a certain # of skills, equal to your jock's intelligence score. Attributes take DPs from ALL categories, so you must have that amount in each of the categories if you want to raise a certain attribute. It's explained in the manual too, pg 11-12 pdf, 9-10 paper.
