Does multiplayer work ?

I created 3 challenges. Every time player joined and then immediately battle is finished. The last one was my friend so I'm sure he didn't quit intentionally. Does multiplayer in this game work ?
The most dangerous thing in the combat zone is an officer
with a map.

UPDATE:

and breaking news

It worked when my friend created and I joined the game. But why ?
The most dangerous thing in the combat zone is an officer

When you create a game, be sure that the 'game name' has no spaces.
