No early end campaign

Post by tyronec »

In the inro it says there is a victory check in '44 but in game there is no notification of a check.
Is there a check and if so what is it ?
The lark, signing its chirping hymn,
Soars high above the clouds;
Meanwhile, the nightingale intones
With sweet, mellifluous sounds.
Enough of Stalin, Freedom for the Ukraine !

IIRC the check is if Soviet player has not reached the Axis high watermark at the end of 1944 the game ends with an Axis victory

There is a condition on this "condition". If the Western Allies occupy any hex of Germany on 31 Dec 44, the date of the Victory Check, the game continues further into 1945, even if the Soviets have not achieved the Axis High Water Mark.
Only the dead have seen the end of War.
