How are eliminated units returned to the mapboard?

Post by Champagne »

What happens when a Division is eliminated due to shattering or isolation? It eventually returns to the mapboard after being rebuilt, right?

What about a regiment of that Division? That is, the Division is broken down into three regiments. One of the regiments is eliminated.

Thanks.

This information can be found in the 27.2 chapter of the manual.

All units that can respawn do so in the national reserve set to 0 max ToE. You will need to manually set their max ToE% so they reinforce and manually bring them on map.

Soviets can only recover rifle, mech and tank units (and only until Nov 41), otherwise they have to build new units. Infantry respawns in random(1,23)+4 turns, mech does the same, and also respawns as infantry, tanks respawn in 11 turns as tank brigades.

Germans respawn depending on unit size: divisions and division regiments in 9 turns, brigades in 5, single regiments in 3, anything less in 1.
