To my surprise it is in the database, however there are some errors, or so it seems if the wikipedia article is right:


The project itself is called Pr.903, not 902R.


Apparently it is a ship, not an aircraft. If you add it to a scenario may fly between altitudes of 30 m and 3000 m, while it should just "glide above the surface of the water".


The antiship missile was a Moskit, not Zubr, the confusion comes because there were several SS-N-22.

The cannons are included, however the frontal has an arc of 360, I do not think it is right if you look at the position in this graphic by HI Sutton or at the pics aboce.

Good for the developers, but not for me

I have posted some apparent errors, in this post and others, if the are real and corrected good, if not, no problem.

I've used it in a scenario, Med Fury 1, I think. I think it is listed as an aircraft due to its speed more than anything.

It works OK but is hard to employ as it runs out of fuel quickly. You almost need to use it as a guided missile itself; locate the target and if in range of the Lun+missiles you can launch but it is tricky.

But it is wrong, it is landed in the inland Kacha airbase in Crimea, what was not possible. You need a naval base like a seaplane, but that cannot fly.

The designer was Rostislav Evgenievich Alexeyev, he looks like a mix of a genius and a dreamer. And died trying one of his prototypes.

I think the questions was answered on the FB page or another social media platform. In that the A-90 is a Class B and can fly above Ground Affect it is listed in the DB as an Aircraft but the Bavar 2 being Class A it is limited to ground effect and in the DB as a surface vessel.

Not sure how the Devs determined the Lun's status in the DB but a quick search came up with a few places that indicated the Lin could fly above the ground effect (examples below, I think Wikipedia may also have used to list a higher max altitude based on the 3rd url).

But to glide just above the surface is not what I would call to fly.

In the first and last third link the ceiling is 7500 m, not sure it is right

9 m with ground effect, in the wikipedia proper is only 5 m, and no ceiling while flying is cited, just the ground effect.

In the game right now as an aircraft is min 30 m and max 3000 m.

OK, but it works, the effect is achieved and the scenario represents reality, it is not real.
