Place Names Blurry

Post by whalee »

I've looked in both steam forums and these one and I cannot find a solution.

Place names seem to be "low res" - blurry and blocky and no changing of scaling, disconnecting displays etc fixes it.

I've attached dxdiag bc I saw that requested, I've not saved the game yet because I am trying to solve this.

thanks for your time!

I'm afraid this is the best possible resolution on this layer. You can check the original source here: https://maps.stamen.com/terrain/

This is part of the reason we have been looking for a better replacement.

Sorry!

Hey Dimitris,

I think I explained poorly. The map resolution is fine it's the text itself. The grey outlines look like they supposed to be transparent but aren't - I saw mentioned similar and the person said 32bit was better, I tried that and it looks like the 'placename' layer is supposed to (from screenshots) I've attached a screenshot of that hopefully it shows my issue clearer :)
