A forum post I made earlier today seems to have disappeared.

Post by meltingSnowdrift »

Earlier today, less than 2 hours ago, I made a rather large forum post titled "A method for interfacing with external software" in the "Lua Legion" section of this forum. Upon returning there, I could not find that post. It also does not appear in my user profile. In general, I do not find any indication that the post ever existed.

What happened there?

I ask here instead of immediately trying to recreate the post in case the reason for its disappearance is that it was deleted because it broke a rule. In that case, I do not want to become a repeat offender. I intend to try to recreate the post on June 8 if I get no answers here.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask about such things. Thank you for your patience.

Discussion of functionality that would enable automation and/or pro usage violates the EULA.

DO NOT repost your deleted thread.

Understood. I intend to comply with this decision. I will make no further attempt to publish the materials contained in that post, or anything resembling those materials, anywhere in any form.

To avoid further violations of rules, I further ask:
  • Am I allowed to continue to possess, purely for personal entertainment purposes as a civilian player of the game, those materials? If no, I will delete them.
  • Am I not allowed to attempt to add real-time multiplayer to the game, regardless of the technical details of the implementation?
Sorry for having made such a post. It admittedly did not occur to me that what I had created was not allowed because it appeared to me to resemble, in spirit, the community-made play-by-email system and scenario browser. I will take considerably greater care regarding such matters in the future.
