Alarming recon observation. Upthread I stated, "I Always wanted to invade the home islands". Well, dreams do come true.

While waiting for next tun I am creating a target list for A/C and engines. Recon has identified a Shinden factory within my strike range. Data indicates the factory is still in research mode. I suspect this factory will not see the end of the war.
This jpeg will be updated with additional recon data and reposted as warranted. This recorded jpeg on AAr will be used as a strike planner for bi-daily air ops.

John has son's graduation this weekend. I dont expect a turn until next week.

1945-6-28: USA 13th ARDiv pursues japs into Bangkok. Attack was launched adjacent. The 13th came down the mountain trail just in time to make a pursuit into bangkok city hex. I was surprised but will take the result. I bet the IJA cant push me out.
CW 18th div was on ChangMai-Bangkok railhex attacking one enemy unit and about 6 more IJA railed into hex to recieve my attack. I wondered if this was a game bug. Will ask John.

McArthur is on the move in SWpac, slowly. Buildup at milne bay. 2 days march thru jungle at PM. Continuing to surround Rabaul, which is a 400vp swing.

44-6-29: On Hokkaido, Just south of Wakkanai Allies come ashore. Note some night bombardments go in before daylight on selected IJAAF locations. No attacks except China bombardments 2nd day.

I note large IJN surface TFs in Centpac. I wonder if john is planning some SOPAC counter attacks on selected islands.
AUS recon has spotted IJA units in the AUS outback off road.

A feature of this senario is the expanded allied pilot training program. It seems to work very well. Lately Ihave noticed alot of damaged planes in the training pool. I wondered if allies have maxed out the maintenance teams in the program?

If those damaged aircraft are in units buyable for PPs to be disbanded into the stockpiles and are at special bases, I don't think that there are enough supplies to enable those units to train pilots. You might want to check those bases for supplies.

Some of the sqn had a high range setting, which may be my fault. still looking into issue. Those bases are off map east coast which should be unlimited supply. The sqn are not able to be bought out but the planes can be replaced w/ older models or versions. Part of the BWTS senario. The effect is to quicker train allied pilots for front line ops.

If they are connected to the East Coast base, then they will receive supplies. If they are NOT connected, then they receive no supplies. I have seen this before.

John has broken into my rear SEALOC north of Baker Island. I fell asleep during the replay and almost missed this disaster.
The 40th USA INF div was starting to load up in transport mode at Abimana, but the orders coming down is Battle stations, clear all decks.this time the division is given a change mission to guarantee it does not load. All TF ships will be scattered, covered, and smothered.

1944-7-2: Turn to John. Readers have asked for a blow by blow on the Japan air war. John has been asked to comment on this effect when he feels operationally able to talk. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=a5808665 ... Rvdw&ntb=1

Just got the combat report. Will post tonight. I apologize to John. My market manager had a heart attack and my front end evening manager had gall bladder surgery. took almost a week to make this turn. We have 905 TFs in play. I am tired.

44-6-30: On this day 1 the allies drop 5 bombardments into Wakkanai then depart to reload. Seems a Slow WW1 IJN BBTF moved into the hex and sank 6xLCI(G) and a minesweper. This TF stayed within range of my cover CV TF. A tad bit faster and they would have munched down on alot of allied BBTFs.

44-7-1: Empire took a beat down this turn. I had produced the turn but not sent. Spilt a cup of water into my laptop. Let it dry out until next day then sent turn. I wonder if the CV battle around Marshalls was corrupted. Anyway, I see no fleet damage to my CVs.
On my Replay, the allies captured Bangkok. in the combat report and on the map the IJA still controls Bangkok.
4 days ago the US 13th AR div pursued into Bangkok. Fort was found to be at level 5. The 15th Indian corp has caught up and supported an attack these two turns and note fort level reduced to 3.

Will CV Franklin and CVL Princeton fare better than they did IRL? The world wonders ... ;)

The Franklin has just rejoined the fleet after 9 months in the yards. Up thread the Franklin was involved in the 1943 Kodiak Disaster. Japan may have her number next turn.
