Para drop with 5th Mtn Div

Post by davidc »

The rules state that the German 5th Mountain Division can paradrop if it accompanies another para unit.
I have a para unit and 5th Mtn Div in the same hex and I have two ATR there too.
The game won't let me load the Mtn Div onto an ATR.
I have enough air missions.
How do I get this to happen ?

The rule is misworded, in my humble opinion. It is the German 5th Air Division that has that capability.

It might be that once it was the 5th MTN Div that had the air landing capability, and then they made a separate counter for the unit and renamed it, and missed to make the change in the rules.

Yes, mountain units cannot paradrop. Can be transported.

The unit Orm mentions can, it is a special unit that was transported in gliders.
