Re: THE THREAD!!!
Leaving my (recently wet) home of San Antonio for a couple weeks in my old stomping grounds. @RangerRick-looks like you lot have been getting plenty of rain lately. Apart from awareness of your 'state bird' (mosquito) in MN, anything else I need to remember?
Re: THE THREAD!!!
Well, I don't know who RangerRick is but there used to be a ReverandRick. But where I am at, there has been a little bit of rain. My kitties seem to disappear fast when they cam hear the lightening and see the thunder. But if you are going to Minneapolis, you can check out the "Laughing Water" with the creek (unfortunately, a 4 year old boy was found in it recently) as well as the Falls. I have to laugh at the band Sweet when they refer to it as a maiden. You can also check out Fort Snelling, look at the round house with 12 foot think sandstone walls with firing ports. Captain Snelling was captured by the British at Fort Detroit during the War of 1812 and he did not want to be captured again. That is also where the British took one look at that and then wanted an undefended border. Dred Scott married his wife there and was rented out to another officer when his owner left. You can also drive on I35E North and go through Little Canada Land where some ethnic French people fled to from Winnipeg!Chickenboy wrote: Thu Jun 20, 2024 3:01 pm Leaving my (recently wet) home of San Antonio for a couple weeks in my old stomping grounds. @RangerRick-looks like you lot have been getting plenty of rain lately.
