LBs off of Burma?

Post by Bella »

I just sank an empty Japanese barges TF three hexes directly west off of Sandoway in Burma, just LBs. 14 of them to be precise. Weird place to be. No troops killed according to the after action report.

Any thoughts what the AI was doing?

OK, I play an older version of scen 001 (scen 001v5), prior to the AndyMac's deletion of his new bases from scen 001. There is no Sandoway in scen 001v5 among the new bases.

Sandoway is not present in stock scen 001 which shipped in 2009 with the vanilla game.

Was Sandoway added by the new patch from November 2022? (I am using michaelm's unofficial beta patch from July 2022)

EDIT: Corrected Sandokan to Sandoway.

Probably the former---1127 Beta. The changelog never mentioned all the geographic additions and there were a lot of them.

I've got both v1127.2 and v131 and no Sandokan either.

I think that it is in the original 1127 that is downloaded from the Matrix site. My map has it.

OK, I am at a loss because I have been playing scen001v5 (AndyMac's updated scen001 with Andy's new bases) for some time now. This scenario is now obsolete and was superseded by scen001v12, but I hate redoing the whole first turn so I stick with the old version.

Correct me if I am wrong.

There can be:
-scen001 shipping with the vanilla game
-scen001 updated by AndyMac (is this scenario actually shipping with the vanilla game now? I am confused)
-scen001 updated by the November 2022 official patch which adds new base off-map

It’s ‘Sandoway’, not Sandokan.
