SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Backing up Larry

Post by Wild Bill »

Larry Holt made a keen observation in an earlier post.

SP series, especially SPWAW is without a doubt the most versatile wargame anywhere. Don't like something? It can be changed. From minor unit modifications to sweeping oob changes, depending on your knowledge and skill.

An OOB editor comes with the game and is easy to use. Even I, who hate OOB editors, like this one.

Fred Chlanda should have a program ready soon where maps and scenarios in other versions can be adapted to SPWAW. Won't that be great?

Or even now, without knowledge of OOBs, simply go into the editor and change units right and left. Its really fun. Give units new weapons, new abilities, change their moral, number, make new tanks, make off-map artillery on map artillery.

Unbelievable what you can do here! I'll state it straight out. No other wargame offers you the versatility of SPWAW.

Have fun! I know I am.
