Generated missions vs custom missions

Was there ever a definition of what a generated mission actually is?

Generated missions are from the PE amphibious landing planner. It automatically generates the cargo delivery missions for an amphibious landing but it generates a ton of them. Filter was created to filter them out so you only see player created missions.

This is one of those things where the UI should make it clear its non-functional in the commercial version. There are a few of those, along with placeholders that should be clearly labeled as such.
