[v1.26g] Deep Core Gas Extractor Fuel Miscalc

Post by Bellrock »

Receiving unusual amount of fuel from a lvl 1 Deep Core Gas Extractor, see attached pic. This lvl 1 asset is listed as producing 125 fuel, but shown here as producing 668 fuel. I am able to account for the fuel in the city and throughout my empire, so yes it is being produced.

Per the description, there is a Modifiers and Tech Formula1 bonus giving a 414% bonus, and suspect this bonus is miscalculated. Other assets in the empire receiving this bonus is typically shown in the 40 to 50% range. The Mining Techniques bonus is currently at 19%, and not seeing any other bonus unlocked that could account for this. I’m not able to find anything to suggest why I’m getting this large of a bonus. Also, I have gotten the bonus for two turns.

The Deep Core Gas extractor depends on the age of the planet: the thinner the planetary crust the more production.

Go to REPORT folder -> HELP -> Planet statistics overview and look for the mod for Deep Core Gas Extractor.

What Haplo said.
Judging by the lava lake there you are on a Cerberus class tend to be very young planets and consequently excellent candidates for deep core gas extraction. Planets that are old at 4 or 5 billion years on the other hand tend to be very poor for deep core gas extraction. It's one of the cool things about Shadow Empire, various technologies become more or less attractive/viable depending on the nature of the planet you are playing on.

See the above replies.
It is also possible to mouse over that formula mention to get the exact calcs. Might be arcane as they are not optimized for non-coder reading, but still might clear things up a little bit.
