SOE hex sides

Is it possible to darken the hex sides in game? I find them too light for my liking. Hard on the old eyes. :( Is there a mod to do this?

Just noticed that clicking on a unit makes the hex sides highlight. Just started playing the game.

There is no direct function to do this in game, but there are various graphical mods that you might find will be to your liking.
