Bad download speeds

Post by solops »

Matrix's download speeds have never been good, but right now they are really bad. I am trying to download CMO and my speeds for the last hour are consistently 250 to 500 KB/sec, giving me a 10 to 15 hour download time for a 14.7 gig file. Really? Come on guys! I normally get 11 to 13 MBps on Steam.

Happen to me few times, that is why i buy games from Steam that is on Matrix Games. But some of them i have on cd box version cause Steam wont have it.

So idk what going on with their server(s), sometimes take awhile to submit your comments to the forum too. Note there alot of hiccups on the net though, not alway their fault.

Changing browsers and disabling Bitdefender anti-virus did not help. In the last week

After a hard drive crash I have been re-building my games library. I have downloaded 165 gigs from Steam alone, including files as large as 79 gigabytes. The ONLY place I have had problems downloading is Matrix.

I would suggest reaching out to support, they can grab your IP from you and we can try to work out what the problem is.

Sometimes I'll buy the game through Matrix, get the Steam key and then use Steam for the download. Is there a reason you're not doing it that way?

truly horrific for Command: Modern Operations; not sure why that game's download speed is so horrific.

For me I prefer having non-steam walled garden dependend games when I can.
