[FIXED][Build 1405 CIV] DB Viewer-Sluggish response when clicking weapons line in parent record

Post by BDukes »

Hi

I've notice that when you select a weapons link/line in the db viewer the weapons form can be slow load and become unresponsive until the DB viewer is closed.

The replicate open the db viewer, Go to a parent record (ship, aircraft, sub etc) and select a weapons line. Tinker around for a bit and notice the behavior.

No entry into exception logs or computer logs.

I'm not seeing this in my system. I have gone through dozens of aircraft and their weapons by clicking on an aircraft, clicking on a weapon, then clicking on another unit linked at the bottom of the weapon page. I also tried clicking on the weapon link then the previous button then clicking on a different weapon link. the viewer reloads quickly with no hesitation. Thats with DBK3.

Perhaps is it a good idea to create a video for the devs?

Hi All

I was able to capture it. Later HIMARS with lots of weapons record lines seems to be a good one to look at.

My expectation is when I click a weapons record line, the weapons are displayed. You'll notice it doesn't come up and as I click more then upper part of the UI goes blank. Some time later they appear.

There does seem to be a buffer for the previous function so maybe something with that?

Let me know if there is an issue accessing the file.

Thanks for the video

I wasn't unable to repro it in my setup but we will investigate it

Can you also share your PC specs?

Thank you

Try with the "problems finder" :) just in case something appear:

In the game Options, General tab, tick the box:

"Log debug information to file (for debugging only)"

Restart the game, and upload the new exceptionlog created after the problem surfaces.

Not at all.

Just trying to help.

This option works very well and detects bugs or software running and that may interfere with CMO.
