Daugavpils

I've just noticed that Daugavpils is considered a light woods hex. Shouldn't it be a town at the very least?

it is a Town in location tab of editor, in mouse-over the underlying terrain seems primary
WitE dev team - (aircraft data)
WitE 1.08+ dev team (data/scenario maintainer)

Now Daugavpils already appears as a city... but shouldn't it have some city or town symbol on it?

What version are you using? In my 1.04.00 version it has city graphics and says city in the rollover.

I am also using version 1.04.00. It says city in the rollover but in the image there is no city or town. Some little scratches appear, but I think they are from the railway lines that pass through there.

I can't explain that. I'm seeing city graphics on my two computers. What are others seeing. The rollover showing city is indicating it is city terrain.

Here is mine, city graphic displayed on all zooms. Last patch.

Your railways graphic looks different, are you using a mod?

The only mod that modifies the map is the "PrettyTrees mod", I thought it only modified the trees... but it seems not. :shock:

I installed the game from scratch and... indeed, apparently it was the "w_hexart.dat" file that comes with the PrettyTrees mod, which must have become very outdated. It's a shame because I liked that tree mod. I'll see if I can use them without that dat file.

I have eliminated the references to the railway that I made in the previous message because I now know what the error is.

You can install the graphic mod only, without the "w_hexart.dat" file being necessary. At the moment the entire map is visible correctly and I have not noticed any problems. I'm going to write on the mod page to let the creator (and other potential users) know that the "w_hexart.dat" file is very outdated, but that the mod can be used without that file added.
