Does anyone play Rome Total War Remastered? And if so, is this better than the original and worth getting?

If you liked the original, you'll like this one.
It has better graphics (but retaining the atmosphere of the original), a better map, more playable factions, improved diplomacy, a new and interesting agent (the merchant) and more options for modders (there are already very good mods).

It's not TW Rome 2, it's the original on steroids.
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Just an opinion: Game&design and AI industry changed a lot from these designs. Thrones of Britannia still perhaps masterpiece just like Shogun 2 in TW games. For new designs such as Imperiums Greek Wars have good scenarious and rules in antiquity period. Developer always expains game mechanics and there is no breaking any game mechanic. AI going with same rules as player also a plus.

First impression is good but the campaign map is very laggy and slow scrolling in Grand Tactician The Civil War. Tactical battles are smooth fortunately. Concept reminds me Hist War Les Grognard. Tactical battles were huge scale in that game. When I purchased the game developer return to me after weekend for install instructions. Was very amateur but old fashioned game with great spirit from 1 person.

I play League of Legends, every match is a new challenge, there is an infinite amount of improvement I could make and most importantly, the gameplay is super fun. With boosting service OdinBoost I can get access to certain features, items, or modes behind high ranks or difficult challenges. For games with competitive ranks, boosting service can help to reach higher ranks quickly, allowing to compete with more skilled players and enhance your reputation. Great tool for gamers.

Warcraft & Starcraft crossover MOBA game? I used to play it a bit. Then I got back to wargames. Helldivers (original, NOT the sequel) is a similar game. Check it out.
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

I got Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War a good while ago, but I installed it just past weekend. 4X game, essentially Pandora: First Contact with WH40K skin and combat scaled down to tactical level similar to Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon. I have enjoyed the game 16 hours so far and lost hours of sleep. Gonna buy some DLC when they go on sale.

Has anyone made scenarios for this?

Darklands is a low fantasy RPG from 1992. Claims to depict 15th century "Greater Germany" (from Denmark to Austria) as people of the time believed it with superstitions and myths. I don't know if the game is on target, but I've been having a good time with it.

Much of the game is text and menus. But there is a war game component, where player commands his adventurers to fight bandits, wild animals, and occasional fantasy creatures of the folklore. Combat is real time, but is paused when player gives commands to the adventurers.

Ageod's Birth of America.

I think their earlier games were nicer. Later ones became too big.

SC American Civil War, although Pbem servers not working for 1-2 days. Sometimes Oldworld and mostly kingdom come deliverance. Very historical game. It is interesting to see Cumans in Bohemia Czech land. As always from European perspective Cuman Turks are the bad guys. :)

Past couple of weeks I've been playing lots of different games. At least a little of each. I watched a video about Ultima Underworld which made me realize the game is more awesome than I remember: doors can be broken in! I gave a run for modded SPWAW (courtesy of Major_Mess), and I'm rusty. Beyond range of French ATGs, I dismounted the troops from trucks and got shelled by artillery in open terrain. Gonna try it again later with the tanks leading the way in thunder run. Valheim was on sale for half the cost, so I bought it and played a bit last evening. Earlier I had played Darklands, Order of Battle: Winter War (3 scenarios through), and Sunrider 4.

I spent today shopping (3 stores before I found soft waffles!) and watching YouTube vids. Hey, Burden of Command demo is available!

Campaign Series: Middle East I have. Also would like Vietnam game if currency didn't get wild after years.
May I ask what made you return to War in the East 2?
