Rebasing Air using the Auto Air Option

Post by princep01 »

I am having a problem getting my AOGs to rebase forward fast enough. Again, this is using the Auto Air Option. The result is that the bombers will fly ground support and other missions without fighter escort and losses escalate rapidly as the Germans advance. Can someone advise a method for getting the AOGs to move up faster. I have the HQs on advance and give them an HQ to follow. However, the AOGS are very slow in forward basing.

Also, the HQs usually are auto setting to Mixed Mission (don't know what that implies), but I often change them to day only flying with the idea that it helps keep the AOGs maintain low fatigue. Is this wise?

Thanks for your comment.

A bit late and only can answer one part of the question, but it is comlpetely fine to have everything on "day only", Missions during the night are having almost no effects anyways, on top of that they have higher OPS, so noone would rly use them.
