Perhaps you should watch what is happening during the AI turn execution.

The AI executes attacks during two separate sub-phases.

One phase is labeled Soviet Reaction Attacks while another is labeled Soviet Front Attacks.

I was simply seeking to understand what is going on during the AI turn execution.
