[FIXED] 64 Bit Update: Borders & Coastlines

Post by HalfLifeExpert »

Great that this update is finally out!

One thing I noticed right away though:

The yellow borders/coastlines do not fully render, but only partially render, leaving them fragmented.

Hi, can we have a screen / save to better investigate the issue?
Thanks

Sorry about the delay. Here's a screen grab. Notice how the borders are not fully rendered, with gaps and such.

This is all over the globe, and it shifts around as the camera moves

Might want to see if increasing anti-aliasing in your GPU's control panel improves this. It kind of looks like the issue on my system.

I turned on AA using MSAA through the nVidia control panel. It now looks fairly normal.

Also, I noticed it looks bad when using any Intel GPU chipset. I would suggest making sure CMO is using a discrete GPU like AMD or nVidia.

I am having exactly the same issue. Lat/Long lines are somewhat messed up too.

Game is running on RTX4070 as denoted ingame. No adjustments made in the Nvidia settings.

Which version of the game are you using?

Sorry for the late reply. I am running Build 1328.18 (Steam Version) and the problem is persisting so far.

Just in case it is useful to fix this problem:

Selecting in the view menu only Borders + Coastlines.

And then Day + Night Lightning.

The borders and coastlines become in great part lost.

Testing in 18. If you compare with the now old 12, it also happened, but in a much lesser grade.

Just bumping this thread and posting screenshots.

View menu only Borders + Coastlines. And then Day + Night Lightning.

Differences between 1328.9 and 1328.17, the bug was already present as was posted by HLE, but now...

In v17 the borders and coastline are actively "destroyed" in the center of the screen when you pan the map, and restored (badly) in the periphery.

There is also a problem with borders, and not only with them, for me at the moment version 1.06 (64 bit) is not playable, I had to roll back to legacy version (1.05) there are no problems with it, it works like clockwork

The last one I wanted to ask before the next public beta is available, hopefully.

Was this fixed? :)

I've still got the issue, but I will install the (Steam only) public beta when I get home from work, and I'll report back if that, by some chance, fixes the issue

I've installed the beta released today (Build 1405 CIV) and the issue remains. Hopefully a future beta will try to address it.

No fix 1463 CIV. Slow render of map layers in general (mostly Sentinel). Legacy 1.5 works perfect.
