Tell you what Joe, you contact the AE Project Lead and ask him if he has an estimated release date and if not, who does? Meanwhile, I'll email support@matrixgames.com and ask the same. One of us may(?) get an answer. Then again I suspect it could very well turn out where the AE Project Lead points to Matrix and Matrix points to the Project Lead.

Teamwork. How's that sound?

We need to get this patch out of the way and quickly forgotten so we can move on to the next big lament: "Is there ever gonna be a WitP Admiral's Edition 2?"

The answer to that one has already been given: we all must keep buying lottery tickets until someone is rich enough to fund the entire venture to the tune of several million dollars. Simple, no?

I know your comment was in fun and jest but after surviving a widowmaker heart attack (13% chance of survival) last August, I would recommend that anyone that has any kind of chest pain or (as in my case) chest discomfort please go to the ER and have it checked out. I thought I had heartburn for a few weeks prior and it just would not go away till the day of the heart attack, its a very painful experience to go through and its nothing to laugh at.

I am thankful to be alive and for God sparing my wife in becoming an early widow. I have lost 70+ pounds and now work out three times a week and have enjoyed and adjusted to my low sodium, low sugar, and low fat diet.

So please don't "schedule" heart attack in the future, I would not wish it on my worst enemy. Again I know your jesting but if anyone here has any pain or discomfort in your chest please go so your cardiologist or go to the ER.

Also, age does not matter here, I was 57 years old when it happen, so glad to see my 58th birthday this year.

Striking out so far. Looks like I'll be living in a cardboard box under an overpass when I someday play WitP/AE 2. :|

On the bright side I will have plenty of fuel for a fire.

Also, be aware that the typical symptoms of a heart attack in men don't necessarily happen in women. They tend to have narrower arteries and they will tend to just be out of breath quicker, being tired more easily, and not being able to physically do the same things that they recently used to do.

I also think that some people may seem more depressed but may not be able to understand why, they just don't feel right. Of course, that can also mean other things so go get tested, especially for things like diabetes, asthma, and other other issues that you may be at risk for. Write down all of the issues that you have and give them to your provider. Also, give some family histories as well. So ask for both blood and urine tests. Look things up on your own as well, be informed! Men tend not to go for a medical check up as much as women do for obvious GYN reasons.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Yes it does, going through that showed me how little time we have, how precious moments are and how fragile life is, none of us are guaranteed another moment of time.

Being glad and thankful is a key element to just enjoying life if you as me.

I heard a woman at a store complain to the cashier about the day, wishing that it was over. I told her to live every day, tomorrow is not guaranteed not even your next breath. She paused, then thanked me for that. That is not the first time that I told someone that.

Then again, I also tell men to bring their ladies flowers and chocolates for no reason. Maybe even some wine as well. Some of them reply that the woman will think that they did something wrong. I reply "When she finds out that you didn't do anything wrong, then what!?" They tend to remain silent. The only thing is, please wait until the funeral is over and the mourners have left the graveyard to nick any flowers!

I first met the flower lady of Itaewon in 1993. She'd do a few circuits of all the pubs in the area each evening. If you know what a juicy bar is, you'll understand she did pretty well at those. Before cell phones, if you were looking for a buddy in the neighborhood, she could tell you which establishment he was enjoying at the moment. I didn't buy much from her, but she did put three daughters through college selling flowers. I got married 10 years ago and suddenly I had more reasons to buy from her, like when I spent a bit too long on the pints. Ten bucks bought a lot of peace of mind from the missus. Sadly, I haven't seen the flower lady in about five years. I hope she's doing well.

How's that for a thread derailment?

Anyway, I'm in the camp of this update will happen when it happens. I spent a year in high school checking the mailbox every day waiting for a mail order Campaign for North Africa to come in, and of course it was over a year late. Thanks SPI.

Cheers,
CB

I'm still waiting for my copy of Jutland from Avalon Hill. I wonder if the money order I paid with is still valid if the bank that printed it is long gone.

That could possibly be a good game to computerize.

So would Tobruk, especially to cut down on the die rolls . . .

In my case it wasn't poor shipping and handling, it was a delayed product. CNA was delayed over year from its anticipated launch date. The only good thing was I sent SPI a check for $25 and by the time it really came out, they were charging $50 if memory serves. It was a good lesson for a youngster on not to trust product launch dates.

I'm sure a lot of computer games use Tobruk as a model. Steel Panthers might be a bit simplified, but takes into account a lot of the same factors.

I think Norm Koger did Jutland.

This feeling of waiting for a patch for years has given me a feeling that seemed familiar, yet I couldn't put my finger on it until now. At 59, this hardly applies any more, but I distinctly remember how I felt when the wife "had a headache" when I was ready....it made me anxious and a bit angry that I was deprived of something I thought I deserved. Some things never change lol.

Maybe the 1126b version is the 'wife', and the 1127 update is her attractive cousin who has hinted at a visit ...
