Air Unit attacked over land question

Post by yemoh92010 »

What does happen if an air unit (Fighter in a Town) gets attacked by a land unit (Corps)? Is there a "normal" combat? Can the Air Unit successfully defend the Town?

Air units can defend themselves against land units but do so at a disadvantage. Most land units have elevated attack values versus air units and to make matters worse a lot of air units seem to have a negative defense value against LCUs. If more than one land unit attacks a full-strength air unit in the course of a turn, it's likely going to be destroyed with zero loss to the land units. Given how expensive and valuable air units are you'd only want to use them as a ground blocking force in an emergency situation.
