Helicopter with machinegun fail to attackt during patrol mission

There seems like something strange is going on with helicopters with a machine gun shooting out from one of its sides when it attacks during a patrol mission.
Hard to explain exactly how strange it behaves, but basically it is all over the place.
Check the attached scenario. Just start it, speed it up and watch the strangeness play out.
