OK so if this popup is annoying you think that we have to ask the developers to eliminate also these others popup
when disbanding air groups?
disband xxxxx
and send some planes
and all pilots to the pool?
Yes No
Do you want to permanently disband
this group? Loosing planes and pilots
Yes No
The warning when disbanding something is present in the game and so the warning when disbanding TF is perfectly in line with his standard ( unless the mouse disabled that i consider en error to be corrected!!)
I think this comparison is a little unfair. How often do you disband an airgroup in the game? I think that is fairly rare. It also can't be undone short of reloading a save game. So I think in those cases a pop-up confirmation is appropriate. The same with choosing to scuttle a ship.
But disbanding a taskforce, that is something I do every couple of turns, often multiple times per turn. Most of the time, it is just a temporary TF I put together for some job which is now complete, and I want to disband it simply to reduce the number of task forces I look at every turn. Most of the time, I have not spent any PP on choosing a commanding officer.
Now I don't mind having a confirmation pop-up on disbanding a task force
if a player has spent PP to choose a commander. Showing the popup for every TF disband will just train players to automatically click disband without thinking, hence it should only be shown
if a player has actually spent PP to choose a commander.
I can't see how requiring the player to use the keyboard (rather than the keyboard or the mouse) on the confirmation dialog is desirable.
(I haven't actually played for a couple of years, since I've been waiting for the patch before starting a new campaign. And I haven't had time to play with this beta patch yet either, so apologies if I have misunderstood how this change in the beta is actually implemented).
