12-13 November

Some more raids and a few transports are sunk but we detect the allied CV approaching in two TF - time to leave and put the CAP up to 90%, all bombers now stood down.

Well, I would rather hit the bombers before they drop their bombs and not after. That is what I think that the 40mm AA guns do, because they have a higher ceiling and a greater range, that can also disturb the aiming a little more as well.

Since the Japanese would replace a bunch of 12 cm and/or 12.7 cm guns, do the Japanese get more of those guns as land based DP guns?

Yes and I think this was unchanged from RA. The 12cm AA gun is pretty good in my mod - keeps allied bombers sober at 15,000.

I did try to add some of the removed 5 inch guns from many ships into CD units here and there for some chrome. same applies to some of the 8 inch guns from some of the cruisers. I kind of abstracted them in.

3/12/44

First serious B29 raids on Japan 4 x 60 bomber raids some engine damage and Res. Time to up the defences....

Manilla falls ( but it's been pretty heavy attrition on the allies - but we are starting to feel a pinch. Oil has a fairly narrow channel now. Soon I expect allied raiders in South China sea area. I feel that Dean could have done much more with his subs.

A new small patch is coming soon, fixing a couple of early war issues.

There are more allied air raids... not much naval going on, but allies are quickly building up Manilla - that will be trouble.... but he needs Bataan as well, and we are well prepared and just moved in a CD unit as well.

Mid-December - There was some good Sub activity, but Rangoon is now pretty isolated. Allies advance into Indo china and Malaya without much resistance.

Supply lines for oil were now open to allied interdiction ( clever pincer movement) 4 tankers and support ships were lost in the next few days. Manilla is operating as a growing base, but I still hold Bataan with strong air and land forces, including a good CD unit.

Problem detected that will make the game crash in replay. Please rename the FW200c Tropischin in the
JapPlanes folder from Jptop 00464 to 0464.
• Delete Jptop00114 Ki-200 Oziroisi should leave you with the correct Jptop0114 Ki-200 Oziroisi.

• Tweaks (downwards) to Tempest and Sea Fury aircraft – Realism and play balance.
• Sea Meteor moves to 11/44 from 9/44. Cohesion with mod.
• Some (mid-war+) allied aircraft now have slightly reduced production- Cohesion with mod, too many.
• Ended A20G production in 4/44. Realism with mod.
• Reviewed and tweaked some mid-war onwards J A/C radars - Cohesion with mod.
• Malayan 1941 squad not upgrading – Fixed.
• Tweaks to FR CA Duquesne armour. Tweaks to Suffren and Algerie classes. New research.
• Australian 1sy Army HQ not perm fixed – Changed and fixed.
• LI res In now 16 from 15.
• Allowed NIKI Mk2 George to upgrade to Mk4. Realism.
• Adjusted PV-2 Harpoon loadout..
• Amended Skyraider loadout to work better.

18-22nd Dec 1944
There are lots of screenshots of epic Battle as allied CV backup landing in the Southern China Sea and bagging a lot of TK at the same time. we missed their landings convoy by one hex. Allied CV AC bags lots of stuff with no significant naval assets.

Not I have found ASM missiles case very variable damage. But they were partly responsible for about 4 ships this turn.
I can never seem to get any results with the Okha.

28th Dec Many bases fall including Iwo Jima which had held out for 2 months.
Not Mushashi get hit by bat missile last turn.

2 Jan 1945

Okinawa gets hit by around 40 B29 , and no fighters - Two big oil convoys creep forward; one seems safe, but the other has been spotted in the South China Sea ( screen next time). Hoping the allies are resting or bringing stuff forward to Iwo Jima

Then Musashi ( with only a tiny escort on the way back to Tokyo) gets taken on by 3 US subs and hit by 5 TT. Some would be the mk16 TT more powerful than the MK 14, survives - just.
