Question: How to add an optional external mine belt to a submarine

Post by Quark73 »

Hi,
TIL learned German Navy used external mine belts aka Minengürtel, it allowed to carry up to 24 sea mines without reducing the torpedo capabilities of the boat. here
How do I make a proper DB request, submarines have no loadouts so this option won't work. Is it better to make new minelayer capable copies of the existing subs, or is it better to add a mount to the existing ones?

Not sure it helps, but in Transient's last scenario there are chinese UUVs that deploy mines, while their normal weapons in the db are torpedos and decoys.

DB requests should be posted to the database github. I'd post it as a new variant of the appropriate existing sub(s), similar to how DDS variants are treated.
