No adjusting unit sprite scale like in AB1?

Scaling is much more tricky in 3D because positions of tracers, flashes, particles, etc. can be seen from various angles, so it was decided that it's better to just not bother with customizable scaling.

I'd quite like an option to get rid of the sprites and just have symbols of some sort. I mean, nothing is to scale, it looks like each building represents 3 or 4 buildings, the level of detail is quite coarse (not really any realistic walls or fences or things to use as cover or concealment, not really any of that visibly going on with the sprites, so it's quite abstracted anyway, which is fine...) The 3D view is clearly 'a map', I mean, not a realistic depiction, so I don't even need sprites for that. It's a great addition, having the 3D world (and I would happily play the whole thing from 'map' view in 3D, which is very functional), though I'm hoping there are other improvements over the original too (otherwise it was an expensive 3D upgrade, perhaps...) - haven't found any yet, but have only just started playing.
