No image capture with WitP...
Impossible to capture an image when I'm playing the game because on my PC (HP), the "windows key" serves as a return to the desktop.
Normally for an average application, image capture works very well (Windows keys + Shift + S), but unfortunately not with WitP.
When I finish pressing these 3 keys, my game systematically goes to the taskbar.
Of course when I press "Windows key" the game comes back.
Maybe someone knows a solution?

There's no point in rushing, you have to leave on time.

Or use the Windows utility Snip and Sketch.

No Print Screen (PrtSc) key available on your laptop I assume?

Thanks but I tried Snip & Sketch, but it also uses this famous "Windows key" which makes me return WitP to the taskbar.Post by BBfanboy » Fri Nov 15, 2024 6:19 am

Re: No image capture with WitP...
After trying several unsuccessful Windows 10 options, I downloaded a free image capture app (Movavi screen) that only uses one key, F8.

Re: No image capture with WitP...
There's a 'snipping tool' that comes with windows which allows you to take an image of any part of the screen you wish. It uses no conbination of keys to accivate it. I use it all the time.

I'm still on Windows 10 and apart from the Windows+Shift+S key combination I haven't found anything else...by Chris21wen » Sat Nov 16, 2024 7:23 am

Prt Scr key captures the entire screen to the clipboard (where you can't see it) and then you need to paste it into a graphics editing program like Paint 3D (part of Windows you can locate in the Windows Task Bar).

I suppose the print screen key is present in the OSK even though it is not in the real keyboard.

Open Snipping Tool
Select the Start button, enter snipping tool, then select Snipping Tool from the results.
Press Windows logo key + Shift + S for a static image snip.
Press Print Screen (PrtSc) for a static image snip.
Press Windows logo key + Shift + R for a video snip.
Problem is, Win+shift and S opens different tool.

You know you can Alt-Tab out of WitP:AE and then use the search bar...unless you have some strange setup.

The Snipping Tool is in the Windows Bar program list (left click) under Windows Accessories.

Re: No image capture with WitP...
Sounds like game may be in full screen mode and not windowed mode but that's a guess on my part
Re: No image capture with WitP...
Yeah, but the snipping tool has a time delay option, that would allow you to to schedule the image capture, then switch back to full screen.
Re: No image capture with WitP...
I have no problem Alt-Tabbing out of full-screen mode to desktop and back.MBF wrote: Mon Nov 18, 2024 10:37 pm Sounds like game may be in full screen mode and not windowed mode but that's a guess on my part![]()

Re: No image capture with WitP...
Some do, myself included, and always have with WitP, hence my use of a window that covers most of the screen.
Re: No image capture with WitP...
Have you tried Windows Key instead of Alt-Tab to tab out of the game?
Supposedly more stable method.

Re: No image capture with WitP...
Probably can't remember. Been using a window for a long time and I'm so used to running everything in a window when I d'on't it seems awkward.
