WRA/Doctrine for Weapon selection based on enemys range capabilities

Hi,

I've a question after playing the air to air tutorials:
Is it possible to to configure the own side behavior, so that weapons are chosen based on the enemies range capabilities?
I've noticed, that my fighters keep using their AMRAAMs against threats that are not able to carry long range/mid range weaponry. When a long range capable fighter appears after that, they are already out of AMRAAMs.
Might it even be possible to have flight prioritization? E.g. I've different flights available own a patrol mission. One with Sparrows, one with Amraams. I'd like the flight with the Sparrows to prioritize low/mid range threats, while the flights with AMRAAMs should prioritize long range threats.
I know that I can get the stuff sorted out manually, but that seems somewhat tideous.

This looks like a Lua scripting candidate.

IF [the enemy contact is classified] AND IF [the class the enemy contact is classified as is known to not carry MR/LR AAW weapons] THEN [change my doctrine/WRA setting so that MR-AAMs are not used for this contact].

There _is_ a "Target Priority List" doctrine setting, which can be set to individual groups or even units, but I'm not sure it distinguishes between identified aircraft threat tiers. It is currently used for more broad target tiering, e.g. engage tanks instead of trucks or infantry.
