Securing bridges in the Market Garden 44 scenario

Post by Zardoz02 »

OK I'm lost. What's the trick?

The paratroop units land, divided, in turn 1. In turn 2 the Germans rapidly move in, pushing aside units and seemingly able to reach and blow the bridges without any serious opposition. There's no time for my guys to even attempt to do anything.

Should I try and parachute *onto* the bridge hex? Or move the dropzones miles away in an attempt to avoid immediate movement from the Germans? Since all the dropzones seem to be observed by German forces, that doesn't appear to be possible? :?:

In my experience you need to be very aggressive when playing Market Garden scenario as the allies. So, try to drop right on top of the bridges to secure them as quickly as possible.
