Ugh! I had the same happen to me a few years ago. Now I back-up occasionally. I did manage to get a few files extracted from the hard disk because the Geek Squad repair guys have software that can get it without reference to the Microsoft Windows system for file storage.

This was 1800€ gaming laptop that I got a deal for 1400€, thus, annoys me bit more than usual.

Of course warranty has expired.

But...life goes on... And WitP-AE runs on this laptop too, just mot as smoothly.
