[1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
After updating from CMO v. 1.05 to v. 1.07 build 1500, layers Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover stopped working, despite being switched on in the View menu. Also Base Earth layer stays at basic detail level when zooming in - not sure if that was intended. In CMO v. 1.05 everything was working just fine.
Checked WW/Cache - images are being uploaded there but it seems that some folders might be missing. Included is screenshot of WW/Cache structure. Please advise correct WW/Cache folder structure and help with resolving missing layers.
System specs:
MacBook Air M2 chip 24 GB
Parallels 20 for Mac
emulating Windows 11 Home Single Language, 24H2, 6 Gb, 64-bit operating system, ARM-based processor, OS build 26100.2033
running non-steam CMO
P.S. In the screenshot I just switched on BMNG layer to demonstrate that it is not working and only Base Earth is displaying (in total Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover don't work).

Can you try to reinstall? This was fixed internally for one layer earlier but it shouldn't be happening in 1500

Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
Thank you very much for the reply - reinstalled several times (both clean 1487 and then update to 1500) prior to posting, no avail. This issue actually starts for me with 1487 and update to 1500 doesn't change layers absence. I used CMO-MultiSetup-v1.05.1307.exe then CMO-UpdateComp-v1.07.1487.exe then CMO_B1500.7z. Please kindly advise what to do next. Really looking forward to get the layers working promptly.
P.S. Is my current WW/Cache folder structure complete/correct?

Could it be that you have installed the game in a "Program Files" folder?

Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
Game and cache folder is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Command Modern Operations\WW\Cache.
Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
I expressed it badly, sorry.
I meant that the cause of the problem could be that you have installed the game in a Program Files folder (what is visible in the screenshot you posted).

Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
Can you please kindly advise, for the sake of good order, why installing in Program Files is a problem? CMO v. 1.05 was installed in Program Files and was working fine. What about my WW/Cache structure - is it correct? If something is missing there - maybe it will be easier to just add missing stuff, as CMO uninstall and new install will take around 1 hour. Would greatly appreciate should you find a way to save my time here if possible. Worst case - please give specific instructions for reinstall procedure (where to place the CMO apart from PF folder for best results). In addition - any other ideas for layers remedy other than reinstall? Thank you for your help.
Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
Well, I am not sure, so used the words “could be”.
Also know that it takes a lot of time to uninstall and install the game, and is a pain.
In a previous beta, installing the game in a Program files folder caused problems displaying the database, etc because of a new feature of the game, webview 2.
https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 3#p5195383
The Program Files folders are controlled by Windows more effectively than others, this happens since the UAC “feature” was introduced (Vista or 7, do not remember). In this case, normal folders could be, for example C:\Matrix Games or C:\Games
I think it was fixed, and AFAIK the map layers are not related with webview 2, but perhaps that folder is causing more problems?
If you are not sure and tired of uninstalling/installing, just wait.
If you are going to reinstall again like Raptorx7 suggested, then I would use another folder, there is no reason to install in a Program Files folder, anyway.

Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
Thank you for the explanation, your understanding of the situation is greatly appreciated, I am indeed quite tired of multiple reinstalls recently (really fed up frankly and with all the latest bugs and issues), so let's please keep this option as last resort. Everything apart from layers (databases and etc.) is working fine currently. Perhaps you can send me correct WW/Cache folder structure (there seems to be folders missing for several layers - as in previous versions there were folders for each layer type) and I just copy it into my WW/Cache folder?
P.S. When you say "wait" - do you mean wait for new build or new remedy ideas?

Gents, it was great talking to you all, let's wrap it up. Thank you for the input.
Can you please finally tell me about my WW/Cache folder structure - is it complete or not?

Your folders look just like mine.

Not understanding at all, it was more a trial and error suggestion

Yes, wait for both, a new patch, it was said, is coming. And perhaps another solution could be also suggested, other forum members are using CMO in a Mac and could come to the rescue.
Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
It's weird, my bet is something related to the VM graphic card emulation.
From v1.06 we use DX11 and 64bit.

Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
I ran into the same problem on version 1527. Only the base layer and OpenTopoMap work, although all map layers worked on version 1328. I also noticed that in the task Manager, the Command Modern Operations process loads the disk when I zoom in on the map with the BMNG layer enabled. That is, it is loaded, but not displayed. If the base layer is disabled, then only the outlines of the state borders on a black background remain on the screen. I'm playing on Windows 10, a Ryzen 5 3500U processor with an integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics card. Not the most powerful system, but version 1328 worked without any difficulties. I want to know if the developers are aware of this problem and if there are solutions?

Open a new thread if this is a new issue. I experienced something similar specific to editor mode.Roman5018 wrote: Thu Dec 26, 2024 10:19 pm I ran into the same problem on version 1527. Re: [1500] Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover layers don't work
Given that this is a "Matrix standalone" installation, I would suggest to give a Steam installation a try (you can see the instructions on getting a Steam key here: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... hp?f=10201) and see if the issue is also happening there.1393360657479 wrote: Mon Dec 02, 2024 10:02 pm After updating from CMO v. 1.05 to v. 1.07 build 1500, layers Sentinel, BMNG, Relief and Land cover stopped working, despite being switched on in the View menu. I think I have the same problem with the author of the topic. In my case, the map layers don't work not only in the editor, but also in game mode too. Only OpenTopoMap is displayed correctlykahta wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2024 1:41 am Open a new thread if this is a new issue. I experienced something similar specific to editor mode.
