New scenario for testing: Pukul Habis 2027 Chapter 19 - Operation Sunbird

Pukul Habis (Total Wipeout)

Malaysia and Singapore go to war in this unthinkable scenario of all-out conventional warfare fought in the Malaysian state of Johor.

This scenario is fully based on David Boey's book Pukul Habis. It follows Chapter 19 of the book.

Note: There is no KS-172 in the game as was written in the book, so the PL-17 was chosen as a closest analogue, which in turn necessitated the use of the SU-35K as a replacement for the SU-30MKM. Similarly, the KH-59M is also not part of the in-game weapons loadout of the SU-30MKM, so the SU-35K was also used as a stand-in replacement for the SU-30MKMs with the KH-59M loadout.

Since Singapore initiated the conflict, we have been passive for the most part, with only token resistance put up by our forces.

Singapore has so far not been able to geo-locate the relocation of 12 Skuadron and 18 Skuadron to Mukah Airbase.

With much of RSAF's combat patrols reoriented to the north to cover the Mig-29Ns covert presence in Peninsula Malaysia, it has been decided that now is the time to launch the first all out strike on mainland Singapore.

We do not have an AWACs platform like the RSAF has, but our VERA-E passive system and the Tun Sharifah Rodziah Marine Base hidden in plain sight among the masses of anchored ships and platforms off the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia will give you a measure of situational awareness near Singapore.

We also do have PASKAL teams keeping their airbases under surveillance, so they will give us updates accordingly.

The main targets of this operation will be the Shell Oil Refinery and associated fuel storage facilities on Pulau Bukom, the Jurong Island Petrochemical Complex and their MINDEF HQ at Bukit Gombak.

Their AEW G550 aircraft and their Aerostat mounted EL/M-2083 radar are also crucial targets. We need to level the playing field for subsequent operations, and their above assets give the RSAF a substantial advantage over us.

You have two SU-30MKMs loaded with KS-172s which we have secretly acquired and eight SU-30MKMs loaded with Kh-59Ms to handle the above targets.

Two A400Ms fitted for aerial refueling is on standby at RMAF Kuching Airport to support this long range strike operation.

As far as SAF SAM defences go, note that Singapore has 2 batteries of the Israeli Iron Dome system, one located in the vicinity of Tengah Airbase and the other at Paya Lebar Airbase.

Singapore's SAMP/T SAM and SPYDER-SR systems are currently unaccounted for.

To deal with the above defences, you have five Su-30MKMs with Kh-31Ps and eight F/A-18Ds fully loaded with TALD decoys.

In addition to the 18 SU-30MKMs of 12 Skuadron and 8 F/A-18Ds of 18 Skuadron, Astros II Regiments 51 & 52 are on standby, awaiting your orders to launch their rockets at targets of your choice.

Last but not least, note the Indonesians are maintaining a neutral position and they have been keeping a close eye on the conflict. Make sure you identify unknown contacts before engaging them.
