Open Call for Testers for GGWaW - Now Closed (03/25/04)

Post by Bart Koehler »

Hello everyone.

GGWaW development is closing in on the point where we will be conducting an Alpha/Beta test. As such, I need to start the process of putting together a solid testing team that is both willing and able to be a part of this process. Both of these points are very important to the testing process, WILLING and ABLE. In order for us to publish a really solid game, we need the help of testers that can put in a good amount of time and effort in working a game through its paces. I am looking for a few good testers. Well, more than a few actually.

In order to get this process started, I need a few things from anyone that is interested in being a part of the test.

1) Send me an Email to bartk@matrixgames.com. This email should include:
2) Your name
3) Your address
4) Your phone number
5) Your Matrix Forums Name
6) Your Computer OS
7) Your computer Memory/Processor
8) Your Video Card Brand/Memory
9) Your affirmation that you are willing and able to be a tester and some idea as to how many hours you could plug into the game on a regular basis per week.

Once I have selected the group of testers I want to use, I will send them an Non-Disclosure agreement that I will need to have before you can be a part of the process.

I look forward to getting the process moving. The testing will not begin until April at the earliest, so the gathering process will take a few weeks.

Carry on,

Bart

Thanx to everyone that has responded so far. Do not fear if I have not responded to you, as I mentioned, this will take a few weeks to iron out, so I have not responded to anyone as yet. I am going to organize the applications so far and make sure that everything is in line before we begin.

Thanx to everyone that applied for the testing role. I have quite a number of applicants to work through, so it will take me some time to organize this. I am going to break this into groups, so if I do not select you for the first wave, no worries, I will need more for a second wave and for any attrition along the way.

We are looking at getting moving on this in mid-April, so be patient as I start putting this together.

I will contact each of you by email over the next week to let you know where we are with this process.

Carry on,

Bart

Gentlemen, I have made the final decision on the initial testers. I will be sending you an email in the next day to confirm everyone. We are still looking to get started in about two weeks, give or take. Look for an email in the next day to confirm your participation.

Bart,

could you post here once you've contacted all the Beta players. it would serve as a good notice to some of us to stop checking our Inbox every 15 minutes [;)]
