[1527] All units show "rudder straight ahead" when turning

All of my ships and subs always show "rudder straight ahead." Even during a hard turn.

Is my installation faulty? Or is this a program bug?

I can provide a save if requested. It's happening in every scenario.

On a related note, why do I care where the rudders are anyway? Is there some tactical relevance I'm missing?
