[WAD]arbitrary range circles stay on despite "all off"

Can someone explain this? I have turned off all range circles but certain of them, associated with hostile submarines remain on, which is frustrating. What is more, it is not clear what they show. Any explanations?

Uncheck "show non-friendly range symbols"

This is clearly not the solution because as I said ALL Range indicators are OFF (which includes non friendlies). I tried it in any case but, as I expected, it did not work. I think is probably a bug

That's the ambiguity area, if you want to hide it you can filter it out under the contacts menu. The submarine/biologic hasn't been detected for 4 hours so its pretty big
